The analysis function in the GridVis Cloud allows you to view your historical consumption amounts for each hierarchy node in detail. The evaluation is based on the intervals at which the measured values are recorded in the measurement device and transferred to the GridVis Cloud. The evaluation in the analysis is designed for 15-minute intervals and this should therefore be stored accordingly in the device configuration, (see also Configuration of Janitza measurement devices).
The analysis elements are created automatically and show the detailed historical consumptions and costs for each hierarchy node. As a basis for these values, the assigned data points are evaluated (see also Assign data points) or the hierarchy total of the subnodes is displayed (Hierarchy totals).
Present consumption and generation
In the upper area, the current consumption and the generation of active and chargeable media is displayed in an interval of 15 minutes or 1 hour. The displayed period refers to the penultimate 15-minute block or the last 1-hour block.
The penultimate 15-minute block is determined by subtracting 30 minutes from the current time and rounding the result to the previous 15-minute block. Example: 3:10 pm - 30 minutes = 2:40 pm → Back to the block from 2:15 pm to 2:30 pm. This ensures that the data for this period has been transferred in full.
Similarly, the consumption of the last 1-hour block is determined by subtracting 30 minutes from the current time and rounding the result to the previous 1-hour block. For example: 15:10 - 30 minutes = 14:40 → Back to the block from 13:00 to 14:00. This also ensures the complete transmission of the data.
In the Display settings area, you have the option of editing the media displayed and the time interval.
Warning symbols
If data for calculating the displayed values is missing, the value in question is highlighted in orange and the title of the consumption tile is marked with a warning symbol:
Measurement gap symbol | Measurement data are missing in the database for the displayed period for at least one data point that is included in the calculation of the displayed total value. In this case, use the Data points area to check the connectivity of the corresponding measurement devices and the validity of the manually entered measured values. | |
Contract warning symbol | The contract data with the corresponding conversion factors are missing in the configuration of the GridVis Cloud for at least one data point that is included in the calculation of the displayed total value. In this case, check the settings in the area Energy prices and CO₂ emissions for completeness of the stored energy contracts. |
When you move the mouse pointer over the respective warning symbol, you will see further information about the respective warning message in a tooltip.
Energy profile
The Energy Profile tab provides a detailed view of total consumption and total generation.
The chart shows the consumption and the amount of purchased energy as well as the self-consumption coverage. In addition, the total generation is displayed, including the amount of energy fed back.
The energy profile can also be viewed as a bar chart in the Dashboard area.
Costs and CO2 emissions
The Costs and CO₂ tabs in the analysis area allow you to record the costs and CO₂ emissions valid at the node currently under consideration during the evaluation.
The overview in the upper area of the page shows the most important factors from the contracts. The listing shows all chargeable media and the conversion factors for calculating both CO₂ emissions and the energy price.
If contract data have been inherited from a parent node to the current node (for details, see also Energy prices and CO₂ emissions), the data are marked with the corresponding node symbol including the information regarding at which node the contract was created.
Note
The link to the contract editor is displayed only for users with the Admin role (see also User management using the Janitza ID).
Consumption
In the line diagram, the historical course of the respective consumption values can be viewed and analyzed.
The line diagram is designed to display 15-minute consumption values. The displayed consumption values are converted into 15-minute intervals from the transmitted measured values, and this takes place even if the measurement devices only transmit values hourly. For correct configuration of Janitza meters, see also Configuration of Janitza measurement devices.
Note
Click the hamburger menu icon (to download the bar chart data as a PNG, CSV or XLSX file.
)Comparison
You can use the Comparison tab to compare the consumption of up to three points in time or nodes. The displayed consumptions are shown in intervals of 15 minutes or 1 hour. This function adds additional lines to the diagram. These are displayed in a slightly lighter color to enable a color separation of the different evaluations.
First select a comparison period as well as the start date and time. Then add a second comparison period if necessary.
To compare nodes, first select a base node using the overview bar on the left-hand side of the screen. Then select up to two nodes for the comparison.
The comparison can also be viewed as a bar chart in the Dashboard area.
