Data points in the accordion menu
Measurement devices that are integrated and monitored locally in the Cloud Connector automatically appear in the accordion menu of the hierarchy editor and can be assigned directly.
The following information is displayed for each measurement device in the corresponding menu item:
- Measurement device designation
- Device type
- Phase (L1, L2, L3, L4 or the respective sum of the phases)
- Serial number (via mouseover)
- If the balance of active energy is transferred, this is displayed
Note that the data from the measurement devices are only transferred to the GridVis Cloud. Configuration of the meters in the GridVis Cloud is not possible. Use GridVis Desktop to configure the measurement devices.
Note
Measurement devices that are not automatically detected and read out by the GridVis Cloud can be added using the Manual Data Point button. These are then used in the same way as automatically detected data points. Note, however, that with manual data points, the data must be maintained manually.
Note
Only values that are also transferred via the Cloud Connector can be displayed in the data point list.
A prerequisite for transferring values from Janitza measurement devices with memory is a correct and complete recording configuration. For a description of the necessary recording configuration, see Configuring Janitza meters.
Assign data points
The data points of the measurement devices from the accordion menu can be assigned to the created hierarchy nodes using drag and drop:
- Find the corresponding data point in the list in the accordion menu, click on it and hold down the left mouse button.
- Drag the data point into the previously created hierarchy with the mouse button held down.
- Place the datapoint on the hierarchy node to which you want to assign the datapoint.
- Release the left mouse button so that the data point is assigned to the selected hierarchy node. A symbol with the corresponding medium of the data point appears in the row of the selected hierarchy node.
You can check the correct assignment by placing the mouse pointer on the corresponding media symbol at a hierarchy node. The name of the assigned measurement device, as well as its additional information, are displayed in a tooltip.
Note
Only one data point can be assigned to a hierarchy node per medium.
Notes on data points
In the accordion menu, a notice symbol is displayed for the data points if there is a problem with them.
This symbol appears if the last measured values of the measurement devices available in the GridVis Cloud are older than 1 hour. In this case, the values are not up to date and there may be a communication problem.
Check the connection between the Cloud Connector and the measurement device(s) using the Cloud Connector's integrated web interface.
Remove data points
Data points assigned to a hierarchy node can be removed from this assignment and then reassigned. In the hierarchy editor, navigate to the appropriate hierarchy node from which you want to remove an associated data point.
- Navigate to the respective node in the hierarchy editor.
- Click on the 3-point menu of the node.
- Select the Remove data point action item.
- Select the data points you want to remove.
- Click the Remove.
Renaming and removing manual data points
Data points that were added manually can also be renamed and removed, unlike automatically detected data points. Proceed as follows to remove a manual data point:
- Locate the appropriate manual data point in the list in the accordion menu.
- Click on the 3-point menu of the manual data point.
- Select the Delete action item.
- A dialog opens to confirm whether the manual data point should really be deleted.
- Confirm the deletion by clicking the Delete.
Proceed as follows to rename a manual data point:
- Locate the appropriate manual data point in the list in the accordion menu.
- Click on the 3-point menu of the manual data point.
- Select the Rename action item.
- A dialog opens in which you can enter the new name of the manual data point.
- Confirm the new name of the manual data point by clicking the Rename.
