Valid for

GridVis editionsSoftware platform

General Description

The function "Online Recorder" serves to

  • read out and record the current measurement values (online measurement values). A record of the current measurement values can be separately configured and saved in a database for each project. (a good idea for devices that don't have their own memory). Online measurement values are values that a measuring device permanently determines and calculates.
  •  analyze and diagnose communication errors in the connection between the measuring device and the GridVis software. The function "Scheduling" still offers the possibility in GridVis Energy (Web) the opportunity to set the number of communication errors in the function "Online Recorder" for "Timepoints" and their "Exceptions" to "0 ."

How do I open the Function?

  1. In the navigation bar, click on the button"Navigation ."
  2. The function "Online Recorder  " can be accessed in the drop-down menu under "Administration."

Description

1Click on the button "Help"
  • Direct Help Guide.
  • Button leads directly to this help page. Closing the help page takes you to the previous page.
  • If the number of measurement value rows fills the workspace, a pagination (page number) will appear centered below the measurement value list.
2Button "Add Device"

Single-click

  • to open the window "Configuration."
  • adds a new device and/or new measurement value to your project (for existing devices with a blue marked measurement value row).
3 Measurement value row
  • Measurement value rows marked blue belong to the measuring device.
  • One or more measurement value rows result in a superior grouping row in the measuring device.
  • The system automatically groups the measurement values (measurement value rows) from one measuring device. The user has no influence on the grouping.
4Grouping row
  • Grouping of one or more measurement value rows (rows marked with a blue bar) from one measuring device.
  • A grouping symbol (arrow) marks each grouping row.
  • Clicking on the collapsed grouping row or on the grouping symbol (arrow) expands the measurement values (measurement value rows) integrated in the grouping row.
  • If the error counter exceeds the set error threshold, the grouping row turns red (cf. "Configuration").
5 Drop-down menu "Projects"
  • As soon as the number of projects in the system >1, the drop-down menu "Projects"appears.
  • Registers show the projects. The symbol "" designates the active project.
6Button "Online Recorder"
  • Single-click to open the drop-down menu "Projects,"provided the number of projects in the system >1.
7 Column "Measuring Device"
  • Shows the selected measuring device.
  • The entries (measuring devices) in the column "Measuring Device" are sorted from a to z (standard). Single-clicking on the column header "Measuring Device" sorts the entries from z to a.
  • Grouping rows appear in "bold" in the column "Measuring Device" and contain one or more measurement value rows.
8 Column "Measurement Value"
  • Shows the selected "Measurement Value" of a measurement device. In the grouping rows, the column "Measurement Value" shows the number of integrated measurement values.
  • Single-clicking on the column header sorts the entries from z to a (standard setting = a to z).
9

Measurement value list and
Measurement value list (project name)

  • For one project the "Measurement Value List"is displayed.
  • For several projects, "Measurement Value List (Project Name)"is displayed.
10 Column "Mode"
  • Depending on the setting, shows "Measurement Value" or "Energy Value" (e.g. for drawn effective energy, see screen grab above).
  • Single-clicking on the column header sorts the entries from z to a (standard setting = a to z).
11 Column "Time basis"
  • Shows the time interval in which the system records the measurement value (cf. Window "Configuration"). Settings in seconds: 60 (1 min.), 600 (10 min.) , 900 (15 min.), 1800 (30 min.), 3600 (1 hour).
  • Single-clicking on the column header sorts the entries from "lowest value" to "highest value" or vice versa.
12 Column "Last Value"

The last recorded value appears in the column if the service (GridVis Energy) is assigned to the device in the GridVis desktop.
Assign device(s):

  1. Assign a device to a service (GridVis desktop):
    - Right-click on your device in the "Projects" window.
    - In the context menu, click on the entry "Assign Device."
    - The window "Transfer Device to a GridVis."
    - In the first step, mark a GridVis with the mouse and click on the button "Done."
    - A dialog box will confirm successful assignment.
  2. Assign all devices to the service (GridVis Energy):
    - In the navigation bar, click on the button"Navigation."
    - The function "Managed Devices" can be accessed in the drop-down menu under "Settings" > "System."
    - In the row "Managed Devices" in Actions, click on the button " ."
    - With the Yes/No query, assign all devices to the service.
13 Column "Error Counter"
  • In the measurement value rows, the column "Error Counter" indicates the number of communication errors (connection between the measuring device and the software).
  • In the grouping rows, the column "Error Counter" shows the total number of communication errors off all of the measurement value rows integrated in the group.
14Display "Validation"

Appears in the group row if

  • 2 measurement values appear in one group with the same configuration.
  • the error counter passes the set error threshold.
15Button "Edit"

Please note: There are different entry windows for the group rows and the measurement value rows. "Configuration":

  • In the window "Configuration," the group rows (measuring devices) show the mode "Grouping."
  • In the window "Configuration," the measurement value rows (measurement values of a measuring device) show the measurement value.
16Button "Copy"
  • Single-clicking copies the marked measurement value row (measurement value) or group row (device) with all of the measurement values and opens the window "Configuration."
17Button "Delete"
  • Single-clicking deletes your measurement value (your measurement value row) or group row (device) with all of the measurement values via the query dialog "Do you want to delete the recording for your measuring device (measurement value)?" with yes/no confirmation.
18 Search and sort filter function
19Button "Reset"
  • Single click to set your error counter through the query dialog "Do you want to set all of the error counters to 0?"with yes/no confirmation to "0."
  • You can configure the automatic reset of the error counter in the row "Reset Errors" in the window "Configuration".
20Button "Add Device"

Single-click

  • to open the window "Configuration."
  • adds a new device and/or new measurement value to your project (for existing devices with a blue marked measurement value row).
